The Sunday Art Show - En Plein Air Watercolour Paintings of Budleigh Salterton in Devon

This week, I show you how I created 2 en plein air watercolour paintings of the red cliffs and beach at Budleigh Salterton in Devon. I also show you two other en plein air beach paintings featuring people and the view of this south coast of England beach looking in the opposite direction. Cow Paintings

"The Courage of Youth" - This young cow was found in a field north of Exeter in Devon. In this acrylic painting I've deliberately used non-realistic colors but at the same time endeavored to keep the hues harmonious so that they are striking but not jarring. The "blue lighting" has become something of a signature in my work and can be seen in several of my animal and figure paintings. Photography Prints

Finished Painting of cows lying down on Dartmoor

Here's a quick photo of the finished painting, I'll post more soon on the iridescent effects due to the use of interference acrylic. In the meantime I need to think of a title, any suggestions welcome!
