The Sunday Art Show - Belted galloway cows with stormy sky painting - stepping back into the slightly surreal

Five minute pelican drawing - episode P - Animal alphabet challenge

The Sunday Art Show - En Plein Air River Exe at Topsham watercolour painting

In this video, I show you some watercolour techniques that allow me to paint a river scene including a distant landscape and boats on the water in about 30 minutes. Working en plein air, I use a combination of watercolor washes applied with a brush and some line work using a watercolour marker pen to quickly create a range of effects and textures.

Winsor and Newton watercolour marker pens
Synthetic brushes (1/4 inch flat and size 16 round)

The Sunday Art Show - Quick and loose cows and landscape en plein air painting using watercolour and sharpie

These rust red cattle, Red Poll breed were found in a field near Starcross in Devon.
